The country has one main airport called Luxembourg City International (LUX) close to the capital which is used for both domestic and international flights to and from the country.

The airport is located about 6km east of the town and upon arrival, you can easily take in the spectacular views of the city center and its surroundings.

The airport is also the fifth-biggest cargo transporting airport in Europe servicing three large shipping airlines Cargo Lux, China Airlines Cargo, and Qatar Airways Cargo.

The airport sees up to 1 million passengers per year and this number hopes to increase as the country continues to expand frontiers.
