the University of Sciences and Technology of Algiers (USTA) was officially created by ordinance No. 74-50 of April 25, 1974, it will take the name "University of Science and Technology Houari Boumediene "USTHB in 1980), to be a training and research center in Science and Technology.  The USTHB 's missions are graduate and post-graduate training and research, the type of organization and management of which is called upon to evolve within the framework of the reforms that will affect the Algerian University. Its ambition is to provide quality training, in line with international standards, which does not ignore openness to the arts and letters and the integration of the student into society.
