The city and administrative center of Ostrog Raion, SSR Rovno District, Ukraine, is 13 kilometers from Ostrog Railway Station on the Rivne-Shepetovka line. Population: 10,900 (1974). Products include furniture, butter, cheese, refined sugar, canned fruits, beer, bricks, and drain pipes. Ostrog also has a food processing department. They have diaries. The city has a history museum and local legends.
