Dokuz Eylul University students pay a significant amount as tuition fees for an academic year, the fees are paid in local currency (Turkish Lira) at the beginning of a new academic session. Tuition costs at this university vary by faculty and program, but currently, students can expect to pay around TRY 20,000 to 90,000 per academic year for any of the available programs.

Tuition fees are annual and can be paid in 2 equal payments in the fall and spring semesters. The first payment (fall semester tuition fee) will be paid during enrollment, and the second payment (spring semester tuition fee) will be paid during the renewal of enrollment.
Dokuz Eylul University places great emphasis on excellent education and offers a variety of scholarships and financial aid programs to support students' studies. Scholarships cover all or part of a student's tuition costs and can last for the entire study period. College scholarships are either need-based, merit-based, or rebates and waivers that allow students to receive aid from college in one form or another.
Scholarships for International Students
Successful students who need financial support to continue their studies receive scholarships from public or private institutions and organizations. Scholarships are awarded to successful and needy students at the school throughout their normal period of study by higher education credit and dormitory institutions, the scholarships help natural and legal persons studying in Turkey to promote their social and cultural advancement.
The Türkiye Scholarship awarded by the Higher Education Council of Turkey (Yükseköğretim Kurulu-YÖK) is a generous scholarship program designed to provide international students with educational opportunities in Turkey.
As stated by the Higher Education Council of Turkey, “The Türkiye Scholarship is a scholarship program that not only provides financial support but also ensures that students get university placement in the intended application program.
With this feature, it is different from other scholarship programs in the world. In addition to university education, it also aims to provide students with the benefits of social, cultural and academic extra-curricular programmes and activities while in Turkey” (Türkiye Scholarship, 2021).

Dokuz Eylul University is actively involved in exchange programs with many European countries. DEU, which has participated in the Erasmus Mobility Program since the 2003-2004 school year, has 355 intercollegiate agreements. Since the launch of the Erasmus program, Dokuz Eylul University has again sent 2,221 students to study abroad and 1,028 students from abroad to the University.
Dokuz Eylül University also takes part in Mevlana Exchange Programme which involves exchange opportunities with higher education institutions all over the world without geographical discrimination.
Students may study abroad for one (minimum) or two (maximum) terms and academic staff may lecture abroad from one week (minimum) to three months (maximum). Accordingly, students and academic staff from any country may benefit from this programme being hosted by Turkish higher education institutions to study or lecture.
DEU also has bilateral academic collaborations with 76 education and research centers worldwide.

Dokuz Eylül University aims to contribute to social development by bringing the brainpower that it has trained and will train in a wide range from health to economy, from art to engineering.
At Dokuz Eylul University today and all over the city-state of Izmir; the institution continues its scientific research and higher education mission with a quality social service approach with a total of 49 Application and Research Centers, of which 10 Institutes, 18 Faculties, 2 Schools, 1 Conservatory, 6 Vocational Schools, 2 Application and Research Hospitals.
The university has three student dormitories affiliated with their services to serve the students of Dokuz Eylül University. They include;
All apartments in the dormitory have a shared bathroom, toilet and kitchen. There are refrigerators, electric stoves, washing machines and water heaters in the common kitchens. All of the rooms have an unlimited wireless internet connection.
Apart from these, kitchens and laundry units that the students use free of charge constitute common areas. There are “Book Reading and Study Halls” that DEU students can use for educational purposes.
There are multi-purpose halls and a cafeteria where the students can spend their resting time. Breakfast service is included in the dormitory fee. In the cafeteria, where hygiene rules are taken into account, dinners are provided for a fee.
In these units, all of which are available to provide the best service, the building has been designed in a modern way and is equipped with central heating, an elevator, 24-hour hot water and a fire system. In addition, we have a guesthouse within the dormitory building, which the parents of the students can use for a fee. In the dormitory where student security is based, entrances and exits are made with a smart card system; It is supported by 24-hour camera control.

Meals are produced in our 4 kitchens within the body of the Health, Culture and Sports Department of our university, and lunch and dinner are served to an average of 11,000 people per day in its21 dining halls, and dinner is provided for DEU Girls' and Boys' Dormitory students.
There are catering services in our colleges and vocational schools (Torbalı, Seferihisar, Selçuk, Urla, Bergama and Kiraz) located outside of İzmir. the daily menus are prepared by experienced cooks under the control of a food engineer and dietician, taking into account the calorie needs of its university students.
In the campus kitchens, a menu consisting of 4 varieties is offered, and with the virtual money options available, students can load into their Smart Cards and benefit from daily, weekly or monthly dining services in the cafeterias of the university between 11:00-2:30 p.m. and 4:00-7:00 p.m.
