Bursa Uludag University is an exceptional university located in one of Turkey’s most exciting cities, the university opened its doors in 1975 and to date continues to expand tremendously irrespective of its age.
The university boasts to be one of the most modern public higher institutions in Turkey. Annually, new programs from vocational to graduate studies open up, making the university one of the fastest-growing higher education institutions in the last decade in Turkey. The university welcomes students from around the world, with its quality programs, international academic faculty and, very affordable tuition fees.
Bursa Uludag University students pay a considerable amount as tuition for an academic year, the fees are made in the local currency (Turkish Lira), at the beginning of a new academic session.
The cost of education at this university varies between faculties and programs, but presently, students can expect to pay around TRY 21,120 to TRY 66,000 per academic year for any of the programs available. Likewise, scholarship and tuition discounts apply, and new candidates can receive up to 100% scholarship at the start of their programs.
The university provides 10% to 100% tuition scholarships for local and international students in a variety of funding availabilities. Funding opportunities are typically merit-based, need-based, or awarded on sports achievements.

Bursa Uludag University was accredited within the scope of the Institutional Accreditation Program implemented by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK). The university is also a member of the European University Association (EUA).
Bursa Uludağ University, established in 1975 under the name of Bursa University and took its current name in 1982, has been successfully continuing its educational services ever since with its 13 faculties, 2 schools, 15 vocational schools, 1 conservatory, 4 institutes, 21 applied research centers and 5 departments under rectorate.
Bursa Uludağ University aims to bring up contemporary students who identify themselves with the cultural and historical values of the country by being respectable to the national values, have a high personal responsibility, and free thought on the contemporary, secular, and democratic way led by reason and science, and drawn by Atatürk.
All Faculties of Medicine, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Engineering, Veterinary, Agriculture, Science and Literature, Education, Architecture, Sports Sciences and Health Sciences, Painting Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts, State Conservatory, Vocational School of Health Services and Vocational School of Technical Sciences, Institutes, Headquarters of Departments and Rectorate Headquarters are 18 km from the city center. It continues its activities in Görükle Campus, which is the main settlement unit built on a land of 16.000 decares.
It serves at the Faculty of Theology Fethiye Campus, and at the School of Foreign Languages and Social Sciences Vocational School Ali Osman Sönmez Campus.
Faculty of Law, Gemlik Necati Kurtuluş Maritime College, Gemlik Asım Kocabıyık Vocational School provide service in Gemlik Sungıpek-Asım Kocabıyık Campus in Gemlik, and Faculty of Fine Arts in Mudanya.
BUU colleges are located in Mustafakemalpaşa, Karacabey, İnegöl, İznik, Yenişehir İbrahim Orhan, Orhangazi, Orhaneli, Keles, Harmancık and Büyükorhan districts continue their education and training activities in the districts from which they are named.

Cost of Living
The unit of currency is the Turkish Lira (TL). Turkish banks have the following working hours: from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm, and from 1.30 pm to 5.30 pm Depending on the bank, there may be some shifts during these working hours. Banks are closed on Saturdays, Sundays and official holidays.
The biggest and most known banks with branches in most of the cities are Garanti Bankası, İş Bankası, Yapı Kredi Bankası, Vakıflar Bankası, Halkbank, Ziraat Bankası, and Akbank. The first four of these have branches on campus and all have ATMs all around the campus.
Medical Services
BUU’s Medicosocial Center meets the health problems of the students and the staff of the university subordinated to the Department of Welfare and Sports.
Students who are examined and treated in return for a small fee can obtain medicine from contracted pharmacies. If more advanced examination and treatment are required, patients are directed to the Health Care Practices and Research Hospital.
Besides the regular polyclinic services, odontotherapy, psychological counselling and guidance, radiological examinations, blood tests and urine analyses are carried out in the Medicosocial Center. In addition, specialists in Neurology, Otolaryngology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology Obstetrics and Gynaecology meet the requirements of the students once a week.

Students who come to the university can stay in campus dormitories, private dormitories, and guest houses, or they can find affordable places in rental houses. Affiliated to the Bursa Uludag University Rectorate, Department of Health, Culture And Sports.
There are 488 beds on the campus, one of which is operated by Görükle, three of which are in the districts with a total capacity of 4, and there are two student dormitories. There is one girl’s dormitory with a capacity of 104 beds on the main campus of Görükle. University Student dormitories, Credit and Dormitories Other than dormitories affiliated with the Institution offers students different housing alternatives.
All students, who live in the student dormitories of the university, have wireless internet access, 24 hours a day, hot water service, laundry and ironing services, self-catering dormitories, and cooking facilities are available. Students are responsible for the cleanliness of the rooms, while the cleaning staff is responsible for cleaning the common areas.
Ten dining halls found on and beyond the campus together with the dining halls of the regional colleges meet students’ luncheon requirements five days a week between 11:30 am and 1.30 pm, and 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm providing a menu made up of three or four different dishes of healthy food (and a Vegetarian Menu) at reasonable prices. The menus and food controls are made by the dieticians.
Canteens and cafes, as well as fast-food restaurants, pastry shops, ‘pide’ and kebab restaurants, are available at various locations on the campus. The suitability of the price and health conditions of all these establishments is inspected by the University.
You can get around in the city by bus and metro. Students can buy their transportation cards (BuKart) from the BURULAŞ which can be used for bus and metro rides at a discount fare (1.60 TL / 0.5 Euro for one direction). Bursaray (metro of Bursa) connects University Campus directly with the city centre at a convenient price.
