Université de Sousse is one of the top Public universities in Sousse, Tunisia. The University of Sousse was created in 2004 from a division of the University of the Center, which had been created in 1991 from the University of Monastir. The University of Sousse is a public academic organization that offers licensing, masters and doctoral programs in four discipline families, namely humanities, social sciences, engineering and technology and health sciences. Sousse or Soussa is a city in Tunisia, capital of the Sousse Governorate. Located 140 km south of the capital Tunis, the city has 271,428 inhabitants. Sousse is in the central-east of the country, on the Gulf of Hammamet, which is a part of the Mediterranean Sea. Sousse is one of the older cities in Tunisia possessing an authentic medina, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is a popular tourist destination, particularly with Russian, Serbs, Croats, Britons, Germans and East Europeans. Located on the coast, it has good beaches and a clear turquoise sea.
