Different universities and colleges set their admission requirements for higher education courses, so they differ broadly. Depending on the course, students may be able to get into higher education with a variety of qualifications.
If you are applying to do a course, you may find that work experience is taken into consideration alongside any qualifications you have.
Some higher education institutes and colleges offer courses as a preparation for certain types of degrees. They usually do not result in a separate selection process as they simply qualify you to enter the degree program itself. Courses can be taught in a broad selection of fields of study.
Although Kuwait is not a popular study-abroad destination, it is possible to study at Kuwaiti universities as an international student. To become an international student in Kuwait, you will need a student visa.
After acceptance to the university, the admissions office will issue a visitor visa while they process the student visa, which should be completed within thirty days.
Admission will require two official high school or university transcripts in sealed envelopes and the original high school diploma. All students will be required to purchase health insurance per Kuwaiti law.
The student can choose whether they would like a government health insurance plan or a private insurance plan.
The majority of students attending universities in Kuwait are Kuwaitis and expats already living in Kuwait. All students go through the same admission application process, which is available online for most universities.
You will need Arabic proficiency to be admitted to one of the universities! If the university determines you are not proficient in the Arabic language, you could still be admitted in many cases.
