Iceland has many domestic airports, 14 of which are passenger carriers including the one large-scale international airport known as Keflavik International Airport (KEF) and the next two busiest ones are Reykjavik Airport (RKV) and Akureyri Airport (AEY.

Both airports are domestic airports except for seasonal services to Greenland International Airport. In total over 30 airports are operating in Iceland.

    Technical College in Reykjavik

    Technical College in Reykjavik has a maj­o­rity of programs that emp­hasize vocati­onal training for the skilled trades. Their stu­dents also have the option of graduating with a mat­riculation exam­ination which many choose to complete in parallel with their vocati­onal training. Hence it is named the School of the Industry.

    Keilir-Academy

    Keilir Academy established in 2007 is a private centre of excellence, international educational institution located in Ásbrú next to Keflavik International Airport in the city of Reykjanesbaer in Iceland. The school is is a subsidiary of the University of Iceland and some Icelandic companies.

    University Centre of the Westfjords

    The University Centre of the Westfjords is a small higher educational organization, which was established in 2005 and began operations in January 2006. The University Centre itself employs an average of six people, plus teachers employed freelance. The University Centre building is home to more than 50 people in research, teaching and services in various organizations and companies.

    Hólár University

    Established on the 1st of July 2007 and is one of seven universities in Iceland. Hólar University (HU) is a centre for education and research in the fields of equine sciences, aquaculture and aquatic biology and studies in tourism, event and hospitality management. HU endeavors to enhance knowledge and professionalism in its fields of research and teaching.

    Agricultural University of Iceland

    Founded in 2005, The Agricultural University of Iceland (AUI) is an educational and research institution in the field of agriculture and environmental sciences. The main focus is on the conservation and sustainable use of land and animal resources, including traditional agriculture, horticulture and forestry, environmental planning, restoration sciences, rural development and sustainable development.

    University of Akureyri

    Bifröst University was founded in Reykjavík Iceland in 1918 on the model of Ruskin College, Oxford, under the name Samvinnuskólinn or the Cooperative College. Bifröst University is an active member of the Icelandic and international research communities and prides itself for recruiting faculty with broad research profiles in the social sciences.
