TransportThere are a few modes of transport one can use to get around in Guinea and these include the following. 

  • Vans- locals use vans to transport people. These are however usually congested than taxis.
  • Taxis are the most common form of transport in Guinea and are used for both short and long distances. Private taxis are usually less expensive, especially for whole day rentals.
  • Taxi bikes- these are used for shorter distances and are quicker than other forms of transport.
  • Air transport- various domestic airports serve different regions and if you need to travel faster from city to city, these can be used.
  • Rental Cars- students can rent a car for a month which is more affordable. Rental agencies include Vital Africa Transport, Europcar, AVIS Rent a Car, and Hertz Car Rental. You can get a car for an equivalent of $17 per day.
  • Trains- trains are available in Guinea but are among some of the least used transport modes.
