The Comoros islands have a limited number of universities, one to be specific. Study abroad students are welcome to apply to the university.
The University of Comoros
It is a public university that opened its doors in 2003. The University of Comoros is the only national university serving the Comoros Islands. It has a distinguished team of professors, most of whom received their higher education in France.
The University serves a young population, many of whom desire to work overseas due to limited economic opportunities. The University is currently expanding its international network of partners, notably in the Arab world and in cooperation with Euclid.
The University of Comoros has multiple sites, the main campus is based in Moroni, and another center is located in Patsy on the island of Anjouan. Approximately 4500 students are currently enrolled at the university.
The university is a relatively young institution that comprises the Department of Humanities, the Department of Law and Economics, the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies, the Teachers’ College, the Institute of Technology, and the School of Medical Studies.
