Founded in 1999, Université du Lac Tanganyika (Lake Tanganyika University) is a private higher-education institution located in the metropolis of Bujumbura (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Bujumbura Mairie. Officially recognized by the Ministère de l’Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche Scientifique, Burundi (Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Burundi), Université du Lac Tanganyika (ULT) is a coeducational Burundi higher education institution.
