The West African Research Association (WARA) –targets students who wish to study in West African countries like Burkina Faso. This scholarship offers financial assistance to students who are looking to complete their Masters and Doctoral studies at any Burkina Faso university.
There is the WARA pre-doctoral fellowship that targets students in their final year of graduate work and to be eligible, the candidate must have a clearly defined dissertation proposal to be used to conduct their research in Burkina Faso.
The other part of the scholarship program is the WARA post-doctoral fellowship which targets students no longer working on a thesis but must submit research projects that demonstrate the need to travel to Burkina Faso. The program offers a maximum of $2500 and $3500 for travel and living expenses respectively.
The KDS scholarship- is a scholarship program awarded annually to students who demonstrate outstanding results in their studies. Students have to share the story behind their breakthrough moment that made them pursue their degree and overcome a hardship

Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarships-These is awarded to undergraduates who show outstanding financial needs. Applicants in Burkina Faso or looking to study in Burkina Faso are welcome to apply for up to $7,000 per scholarship.
- Eligibility- prospective applicants must have critical financial needs that can be proven. People with disabilities and female students from disadvantaged backgrounds are eligible and will be given top priority.
- Requirements.Prospective candidates must have a proven record of leadership or some form of a recommendation from their community.
Leadership Essay Competition -This is a creative contest scholarship that offers Partial Funding for all students who wish to study in an African trade at Burkina Faso Universities.
- Eligibility- It is opento all African students who wish to study in any African country.
- Requirements-Creativity and relevant proof of study towards any degree at any Burkina Faso university should be availed.
